Artificial Turf Installation in Colorado Springs
Green all year, no mowing, no brown patches, and no fighting the sprinkler bill. We install synthetic turf built to take Colorado hail, hard sun, and everything the dogs throw at it. Family-owned, ten years on the job, and a free estimate before you spend a dollar.

Turf that's built for the Front Range, not a catalog
Colorado is hard on a lawn. Real grass fights the sun, the hail, the clay, and the watering rules all summer and still goes brown by August. Good artificial turf doesn't care that we're at 6,000 feet:
- Stays green through 300+ days of hard Colorado sun
- Shrugs off the summer hail that shreds a real lawn
- Drains on our clay soil when the base is built right
- Sidesteps tightening water restrictions for good
The catch is that turf is only as good as the base under it. We build and grade that base so it drains, seam the joints so you can't see them, and lock the whole thing down so it stays flat, smooth, and puddle-free for years.

A real install, done in the right order
- We dig out the old lawn. We excavate the existing grass and soil a few inches down so there's room for a proper base.
- We build and grade the base. We bring in and compact a crushed rock base, then grade it to a slope that pushes water away from the house. On clay soil, drainage is the whole game.
- We lay a weed barrier. A commercial weed fabric goes down over the base so nothing grows up through your turf later.
- We roll out, cut, and seam the turf. We lay it with the blades all running the same direction, cut it in tight to your edges, and seam the joints so they disappear.
- We nail it down and brush in the infill. We secure the perimeter and seams, then spread and power-brush the infill that stands the blades up and weighs the turf down.
- We clean up and walk it with you. We haul off the debris, brush the lawn out one last time, and walk it with you before we call it done.
Most residential lawns are a one-to-three day job depending on size and access, and we stay on it start to finish, hauling off the debris and cleaning up before we go.
How much does artificial turf cost in Colorado Springs?
Straight answer: it depends on your yard. Here's what actually moves the price, so you know what you're paying for, and why a real number needs eyes on your space.
Square footage
Bigger lawns cost more overall but usually less per square foot, since a lot of the setup is the same whether the lawn is small or large.
Turf grade
A putting green or a pet-heavy backyard needs a tougher turf than a low-traffic front yard. Better turf costs more and lasts longer.
Base prep
This is the big one. Digging out old sod, fixing drainage, or dealing with heavy clay is more labor and material than dropping turf onto a clean slate.
Access
A gated backyard we have to wheelbarrow into costs more in labor than a wide-open lot the machines can reach.
Extras
Putting greens, borders, hauling off old material, or tying turf into a patio or rock all add to it.

Turf pays you back every summer
In Colorado Springs you're paying to water a lawn all summer, plus mowing, fertilizing, and reseeding the spots that die. Turf cuts the water for that area to nothing and the mowing to zero, so over the years it earns back a good chunk of what you spent, on top of never having to think about it again. We come out, measure it, check the drainage, and hand you a written estimate for free with no obligation.
Get a Quote on Your Turf ProjectWhat you get with turf
No more mowing
Ever. Put the mower on the curb. No cutting, no edging, no bagging clippings on a Saturday.
Slash your water bill
That lawn stops drinking. In a state with watering restrictions, that's real money saved every summer and one less rule to worry about.
Built for dogs
Turf handles pets better than grass. No mud, no dug-up holes, no dead yellow spots, and it rinses clean.
Takes the hail and the sun
Quality turf is UV-stabilized so it won't fade or go brittle in our sun, and hail doesn't hurt it. It bounces back when grass would be shredded.
Green every single day
July heat, January snow, doesn't matter. Snow melts off and it's green again. No brown season.
Great for kids and putting greens
A soft, clean, level surface for kids to play on, and we build backyard putting greens for anyone who wants to work on their short game at home.
Turf questions we get asked
How much does artificial turf cost in Colorado Springs?
It comes down to your square footage, the turf grade, how much base prep and drainage work your yard needs, and access. Those swing the number a lot, so a real quote needs eyes on your actual yard. We measure it in person and give you a free written estimate with no obligation.
Does artificial turf get hot in the sun?
It does warm up in direct Colorado sun, same as a patio or a driveway does. A quality infill helps the surface shed heat, and a quick rinse with the hose on the hottest days cools it right down. Pick a good turf and it's fine for bare feet and paws most of the time.
Is it good for dogs and pet urine?
Yes, and it's one of the top reasons people call us. Pet-rated turf drains right through, so urine flushes down instead of pooling. No mud, no holes, no dead spots. Hose it off now and then and it stays clean and odor-free.
How long does artificial turf last?
Good turf installed right lasts for years and years, long enough that it pays back what you spent on water and mowing. UV-stabilized fibers hold their color in our sun, and a solid base keeps it from rippling or shifting. That base is what carries the lifespan, so that's where we put the work.
Does turf help with water restrictions?
Turf uses no water to stay green, so it takes that part of your yard out of the watering-restriction equation for good. Some Colorado water providers have offered rebates for replacing thirsty grass with water-wise landscaping, but the programs change year to year. It's an especially easy call down in Pueblo, where the heat and the water bills only get worse in summer. Ask us and we'll tell you what to check with your water provider.
Is artificial turf HOA approved?
In a lot of neighborhoods, yes, and it's gotten easier as Colorado has pushed HOAs to allow water-wise landscaping. Every HOA still has its own rules on what's allowed and where. We handle the approval process so you don't have to, which is a big part of what we do over in Castle Rock. Want to see the rest of what we install?
